The performer the world has come to love and know as Charo was not always a singing and dancing sensation. At some point in her life, she was simply a little girl by the name of María Rosario Pilar Martínez Molina Moquiere de les Esperades Santa Ana Romanguera y de la Najosa Rasten. No. Really. But 58 years of hard living has not stopped Charo from bringing her trademarked brand of completely lunacy to the little screen, as she made an exuberant appearance on the Jerry Lewis Telethon this Labor Day weekend.
Sure, she’s lip-syncing to a recording of Rihanna’s “Please Don’t Stop The Music” which sounds like it was made years before the song was even released. But why let that ruin a perfectly good performance? That Charo, she just wants to give back to the kids. In the form of middle-aged lapdances, seen at the end. Bless her!
