This morning on The Today Show, Ann Curry tried something she’s deathly afraid of: stand-up comedy. I was really hoping that she would just do 7 minutes of “good morning good morning everybody good morning,” but instead she took the safe route and did some jokes about her Japanese mom and the cuh-razy stuff she says! Though it may have been a hacky approach, I definitely was surprised that Ann carried it off with such confidence. I admit, I laughed when she said “They must uh-have the seeeex,” because it was funny to see someone who is usually so prim and proper getting a little nasty.
