Fox is getting all lawyer-y on a series of animated online videos called The O.J. Simpsons that cross The Simpsons with, yup, O.J. (Ha! Why didn’t anyone think of this sooner!?!) Not only does Fox own The Simpsons, but the videos, with episode titles like “If I Did It,” reference the O.J. TV special (and it’s accompanying book deal) that Fox almost aired last November. So their lawyers are pressuring Broadcaster.com, which houses the videos, to yank them. Broadcaster.com is playing the parody card and keeping them up for now. There are three to see. My biggest problem with the videos: They’re not funny. Or timely. Or… did I mention that they’re not funny? You get maybe one decent joke over the course of 4 minutes. That ain’t worth it. Still if you want to see what the fuss is about, give them a look before The Man makes everyone take them down.
