Twilight: Eclipse is a summer blockbuster. The movie about vampires, wolves and virgins tallies up an impressive 175 million f**king dollars (?!) in merely 6 days since its release. Twitanic indeed.
But why did this movie with subpar reviews make so much cash opening weekend? Simple: Twilight fans are literally, completely, and truly insane. And thankfully, they seem proud of their insanity for Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, Kristen Stewart and teen fiction. (Ed. Note: That last sentence just earned us 100,000 extra Google hits. Did you say something about Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus? Tiger Woods mistress? Hmm, I can’t hear you. What was that? Free porn?!?! Free porn. You’re telling me there is free porn out there?!?
