Terrible news in the world of lazy-eyed marsupials today, as we received word that Heidi the Cross-Eyed Opossum has passed away at the tender young age of three and a half. If you want to read the quote that will make you cry out of your normally-aligned eyes for the rest of the day, there’s always this statement given by Jörg Junhold (LOL?) at Heidi’s Zoo in Leipzig:
Heidi was put down because this little misunderstood angel was in a lot of pain. But she lived a full life, garnering 3 times as many Facebook fans as Germany’s Chancellor Angela Merkel. Now, she’s probably getting polar bear rides from Knut somewhere up in heaven.
