A criticism I often have of dogs is that they are not nearly terrifying enough. Sure, some can be. There was that time I was bitten by a homeless dog out of nowhere, and had to go to St. Vincent’s Hospital for a tetanus shot, and eventually, for a rabies series. This is a true thing, and yes, that dog was pretty scary. (Fair enough, his homeless owner who took off running down Houston was scarier.)
Otherwise, most typical housepet who have not possibly given me rabies are pretty darned cute. And with Halloween right around the corner, now’s the time to be thinking: How can I make my dog look terrifying?
