Well, you can’t say Salman Rushdie doesn’t have a “type.” The ex-boyfriend of Top Chef host Padma Lakshmi was spotted attending the New York Film Critics Circle Awards with Broadway actress Pia Glenn (fierce bish in fur n’ heels, right). And it must be true love, seeing as she matched her coat to his beard hair. Aw.

Which reminds us of a story heard about a year ago. A tall friend of ours (we have dozens) told us of how she met Salman at a fundraiser about a year ago, and how the “Satanic Verses” scribe expressed interest in donating a large sum of money to her charity. The check’s signature, however, hinged on whether or not she was willing to offer him a passionate kiss. Which she wasn’t. And the check? Never got signed. In other words, the guy’s kindofacreep.

Which reminds me: Salman Rushdie, I will gladly make out with you for $50,000. In fact, make it $50 and a book dedication, and you’ve got a deal.
