There’s nothing particularly annoying about Aruba’s new ad campaign featuring Lewis Black; Black isn’t forced to be all loud and schtick-ey, but seeing him in an ad at all — let alone as a subdued, rational beach-walker — is more than a little surreal. I kept expecting him to lose it and go on some rant about Rod Blagojevich and Bill Richardson while kicking sand at the woman on the beach followed by some lame tagline about how “no one can be angry in Aruba,” but it never happens.
It’s just a commercial about Aruba and Lewis Black happens to be in it. Weird.
