NBC’s “Thursday Night Actual Goodness” returns tonight with a prime-time Saturday Night Live special (but no 30 Rock just yet). Like all SNL seasons, last one had its ups and downs (or if you’d prefer the prevailing lazily angry sentiment, “It used to be great but sucks now grrrr I miss the Jim Breuer years!!!!”) but no sketch from this past season had me laughing harder than the following bit from the Tracy Morgan episode, in which Morgan, a family filmmaker, recounts the humorous anecdotes behind the making of his new movie “Rocket Dog.”
It truly is a film for any kid who was told, “You’re not gonna find a jetpack”:
