A year without new Mad Men episodes is like a year with sexy water: The brain withers, it dries, it blindly feels its way around the desert of cable television looking for something to quench its insatiable lust. But the only cure for this disease goes by two names: Don Draper. And ladies and gentlemen (don’t front, gentlemen, you know you want it too)… he’s back.
On August 16, Mad Men returns with its third season. And perhaps its due to a year spent sans Draper, but I have never been more excited about anything in my own life including the birth of my 4 children.* (*I’m childless.) The fighting, the intrigue, the sexy way they hate on the ladies, the suits, the pent-up WASPy aggression… it’s almost too much to handle.
As is the teaser poster AMC released this week, featuring Mr. Draper, played by double-Emmy Award nominee Jon Hamm, looking as cool as ever, even while drowning in his own past. No, but really, is it possible Jon Hamm got even hotter over the past 12 months? Is that possible?!!??!
Oh… it’s possible.
