Weekends for this blogger are a welcome break from the internettyness of the internet — two glorious days without professionally subjecting myself to mashup after mashup, irresistible animal videos that I can’t stop watching even as I feel my brain eroding, etc. etc. To walk in on a Monday only to witness a mashup that actually uses Rick Astley’s “Never Gonna Give You Up” — an internet meme from yesteryear — seemed like a cruel, too-immediate “WELCOME BACK TO THE INTERNET FOREVER, BLOGGER-MAN!”
