Ah, Memorial Day: For some of you, a weekend to reflect back on the lives of our countries servicemen who sacrifices themselves for the greater good. For others, a reason to do keg stands in the woods with your top off while wearing your favorite flag thong. But for most people, Memorial Day also signals something else: The beginning of Summer. Watermelon, beer, sprinklers, sunshine, forehead pimples all make their debut this weekend. But without the appropriate soundtrack, many of these summery things lose their essential joy. (Have yooouuu ever tried playing grenade hackeysack while blindfolded/drunk without a handy Summer Jam? Just me? Wait til I get Pa on the phone.)

A few weeks ago, we loudly proclaimed two Lady Gaga songs to be our 09 Summer Jams: Both “Boys, Boys, Boys” and “Summer Boy” — indeed, different songs, were the front runners. But we fear these jams may have been released to early for their own good, as following weeks of continuous, looping play, we’re on the verge of boys-oning ourselves (click for appropriate pun GIF).
