Irish airline Aer Lingus yesterday held a publicity stunt called “999 Nudes,” in which 999 volunteers gathered together to get naked in public to promote a new 9.99 airfare. Maybe it’s just semantics, but I have one teeny problem with this “nude” stunt — see if you can guess what it is:

…they’re not naked. At all. They’re wearing underwear with large shamrock bikinis on top of the underwear. Not that I’m anti- a bunch of people wearing underwear in public, but when it’s advertised as “nudes,” it’s a bit disappointing. That’d be like someone saying “hey, want a steak?” and then handing you a crappy hamburger with underwear and a shamrock bikini on it. I’m not great at analogies.
