Dallas Mavericks Player Inspires Youtube Race Riot, Alters Presidential Election

Josh HowardOn SportsCenter earlier today, analysts were discussing Dallas Mavericks forward Josh Howard and his “shameful comments about the National Anthem and Obama” that apparently were captured on a cell phone camera and posted to Youtube. A separate ESPN political-ish analyst then added that the comments were so outrageous, they could ultimately end up hurting Obama come election time.

Being immediately curious, I hopped over to Youtube to find this suddenly infamous video, and there found 900+ Youtube comments on the video, about 850 of which included the N word, with the other 50 sounding more or less like these:

no ONE should go to africa and get AIDS but at the same time, Howard’s lack of thanks for the life he has is utterly disgraceful

Sure when he blows his money and needs the country to pay him welfare, he’ll be singing a different tune—SCUMBAG EAT A D*CK

Wow! I realize these are internet commenters, and in commenter lingo “eat a d*ck” usually means “great post, Dan Hopper!” but my God, what could a random NBA player have possibly said to make people this angry and inspire ESPN to discuss its impact on the ‘08 election?? It must’ve been something reeeally baddddddd…

After the jump, the entire monumental, earth-shattering, president-destroying video… IF YOU CAN HANDLE IT. Strap yourself in.

This was…. the biggest waste of time of my life.
