The wave of euphoria I was feeling over the ViviKnox photos has just come to a SCREECHING halt: I’ve just learned that two of the So You Think You Can Dance finalists were hospitalized on Saturday during rehearsals. Both were suffering from dehydration and exhaustion – which is no wonder, because they’ve been rehearsing for 10 to 12 hours a day during this season. Though the identity of the two have not been revealed, I wouldn’t be surprised if it was Katee and Courtney, though it could very well have been Twitch or Joshua as well. Whoever they were, they have since been released and took Sunday off to rest up. SO EVERYBODY JUST CALM DOWN – the finale is STILL ON.
If you’re worried if this might give one dancer an advantage over another, judge Mary Murhpy told People that “the other two [dancers] could not rehearse as well, and so hopefully everybody is going to be in the same boat…hopefully everybody will be refreshed by having a full day off.†Well, who’s to say the healthy two weren’t rehearsing like crazy on their own on Sunday? There’s plenty of room in a hotel to add the final touches to your solo routine, or do some character work. You know, give yourself that extra edge. And hello, they’re not recovering from a trip to the ER, so there’s that advantage.
Well, I don’t know about you, this will NOT put a damper on my excitement not only for the show on Wednesday, but for THE TOUR!!! That’s right! In a fit of blind obsession and on the wings of foolish desire, I BOUGHT TICKETS to the tour this weekend. There will be a full accounting of the show on this site, I can guarantee you that. I just hope all my fave dancers can keep their health until November, when I see them, because my expectations are VERY HIGH.
Also, the article did reveal some interesting information: The Jonas Brothers will be performing. Finally I’ll get a sense of who the hell these dudes are – I’ve never seen them perform or heard any of their music, I just know that they receive sluttly pictures via text message from Miley Cyrus and wear a lot of scarves.
