Remember the Beggin’ Strips commercials from the 1990s that featured a dog whose insatiable craving for bacon made every real-life junkie look like a three-year-old whining about a lollipop? Here’s a refresher courtesy of the website “Your Tube“:

Less of you, however, may know that the dog even went to see a psychiatrist to curb this violent craving, but it only made things worse (he wants bacon more than cats??):

In 2008, though, the Beggin’ Strips dog has finally turned a corner. After the jump, check out the latest installment in the Beggin’ Strips saga, in which the dog — while still completely ruled by his craving for bacon above all other aspects of his existence — has finally learned to love and respect his owner and provider of said Beggin’ Strips.

Also, the dog has gained a magical ability to cause bacon-related events to occur in his wake, plus he has a different voice (has to be the same dog, though, no way another dog could possibly love bacon this much):
