Knicks Broadcast Turns Briefly Watchable When Announcer Sings “Dancing Queen” On Air

Knicks thumbThe three stages of an NBA broadcasting crew clearly giving up on its team’s season:

1) Instead of showing the Conference Standings during the pregame, the network airs highlights of top college players who have definitively declared for the draft.

2) Tons of “Glory Days” throwback segments air during intermissions; former players constantly stop by the booth to relate legendary anecdotes while the game is occurring.

3) Announcer sings ABBA’s “Dancing Queen” during the pregame warmup while his co-anchor sits in silent contempt, then they re-air the clip during the actual broadcast of the game and discuss his “American Idol” chances.

You’ll never guess which stage the Knicks are in!
