The following clip is both hilarious and tragic. Hilarious, because George W. Bush is on a stage with a dozen other world leaders and no one else wants to shake his hand, and he’s clearly just running the clock out on a painful eight years of everyone hating him. But it’s a little sad when Bush hangs his head at 0:16 and I almost — let me think about this for one second — I almost…feel a little bad for him? Is that possible?

He’s like a puppy who growled at every other puppy and stole their food, but now none of the other puppies want to play with him and he’s whimpering in the corner. That counts as sad, right??
