What a week, what a week, I tell ya! Only one way to cap off a week like this. A bottle of Jack, an afghan, and Best Week Ever with Paul F. Tompkins tonight at 11 PM. But first, let’s remember the good old days, shall we?
- Dan asked us what would be the worst band to put on a mix. I realize it’s all in the ear of the beholder, but for me, it would have to be 10,000 Maniacs, specifically “These Are The Days.” That song is for end-of-the-school-year slideshows ONLY.
- I complained about the most annoying board game (at least as evidenced by its commercial), Partini.
- Michelle pulled a Huey Lewis and got a new drug, in the form of Diet Mountain Dew.
- I listed 10 things that might be more “uncool” than what Angelina did to Jennifer Aniston. The clipart I found for the concept of gun violence inspired a few hilarious comments. Thanks.
- Michelle wondered who would vote for Sarah Palin in 2012, should she run. I think it’s fair to say that we responded with a loud: No we won’t.
- Dan delighted us with a list of other terrible sequel names, inspired by Alvin & The Chipmunks: The Squeakel. I’m very proud to say that Out of Africa: The Mozambiquel was mine.
- Michelle broke a story so big that no one could have ever seen it coming, given all those mysterious promos from Barbara Walters: Pregnant Transman Part 2!
- Michelle and I learned about what the kids are listening to, and drank copious amounts of free booze, at The MTVu Woodie Awards.
