The other day, I made an offhand (and obviously hilarious) joke about a Penn State bouncer who choked a student back in 2003. I very quickly followed the joke with the obligatory “too soon!” declaration, but then realized that the incident happened more than five years ago, and while the joke was still in tremendously poor taste, it most certainly was not “too soon.”
This raised a dilemma — we need an expression to indicate that something is no longer “too soon.” Here’s what my friend and I came up with:
“Appropriate!”
“Fashionable!”
“Sufficient Time!”
“Not Soon At All!”
“Too Punctual!”
“Hilarious Now!”
“You Are Off The Hook For That!”
