Will Ferrell is coming to Broadway in 2009 with a one man show titled You’re Welcome America. A Final Night with George W. Bush. Adam McKay will direct the show and it will reportedly include anecdotes from Will’s SNL days and mostly likely some impressions (I’m assuming George W. Bush will be included…unless this is Will Ferrell’s indie rock ploy at naming the show with material he won’t include. If that’s the case, look for the Bush impression video leak on some underground Broadway blog).
Here’s what I think you can expect at the show:
Will Ferrell in ridiculous costmes. Possibly Uggs, a baby t-shirt, and Dior sunglasses. Or a diaper.
College Juniors with Funny Or Die t-shirts yelling, “Do Robert Gooooouulet!”
Lots and LOTS of yelling.
Fake Mustaches and turtlenecks.
John C. Reily making cameos, possibly wearing fake mustaches and/or turtlenecks.
College Juniors with “College” t-shirts yelling, “We’re going streaking!!!”
A segway.
