So What’s Uncle Joey Up To These Days, Anyway?

cleanguysmops.jpgAnyone who even halfway pays attention to pop culture news knows the fate of most of their favorite Full House alums. The Olsen Twins grew up to become hard-partying serial-dating Starbucks junkies who are multi-millionaires but still dress like homeless people. Bob Saget can been seen telling d*ck jokes at a Ha Ha Hole near you. John Stamos is still bagging impossibly hot sexual conquests. Jodie Sweetin did meth for a while, then cleaned up sorta, we think. Candace Cameron joined her brother Kirk in his Crusade for Christ. So the only cast member we don’t really know what’s going on with these days (other than Kimmy Gibbler, but you know, who really gives a sh*t?) is the beloved 80’s TV Uncle Joey, aka Dave Coulier (pronounced “Cool! Yay!”, which is also exactly what you think every time you see him).

Well I just so happen to know that Coulier is the proprietor of CleanGuys.tv, which is the online headquarters for the “Clean Guys Of Comedy”, Coulier’s bold new quest to put together an all-star roster of the country’s most squeaky-clean, totally-polite and pleasantly non-offensive stand-up comedians. Never one to allow his mind to wade around in the comedic gutters populated by the likes of his co-star Bob Saget (whose aggressive comedy filth was immortalized in both Half Baked and The Aristocrats), Coulier is committed to the kind of comedy that doesn’t rely on unsavory language, ribald sexual scenarios, or unsettling socio-political commentary. Coulier’s brand of wacky, family-friendly humor will, as he puts it, “Wash America’s Mouth Out With Funny”. I don’t even know what that means, but it’s amazing.

The Clean Guys site, MySpace Page, and Coulier’s personal blog are all indeed treasure troves of hilarity. You’ll find clean user-submitted videos such as hysterical howling cats from America’s Funniest Home Videos (but presented without that program’s filth-mongering host Bob Saget), the William Tell Overture for harried Moms, and Frank Caliendo performing his knee-slapping celebrity impressions from an old episode of Letterman. Basically, it’s like YouTube, but without any of the videos you’d actually enjoy watching.

Cool! Yay!
