When I was growing up, I attended a Southern Baptist Church and its associated church camps. Through my experiences, I’ve witnessed many of the man-made things that give religion a bad name. Cheesy songs, ridiculous interpretive dances, hateful judging of others, stupid rules that make no sense, insidious church politics, hypocrisy, “The Lord’s Gym” t-shirts, ignorance, tomfoolery…I saw it all. Nevertheless, I somehow managed to see past that kooky stuff and carve out a positive experience for myself. But…BUT. If anyone had ever presented THIS SONG & DANCE NUMBER to me, I would have not only laughed myself to death, but right before suffocating, I would have burned the church to the ground. God may strike me dead for linking to it, but really, I don’t think I’ve seen something so hilarious in a long time. The man in the middle is A GENIUS. This was made RECENTLY. This should be filed under Operation Cry-Town, because right now tears are streaming down my face.
