Before today, I had never seen or heard of Japanese pop star MEG, so when I started watching this video for her song “Precious,” I was concerned that maybe I was looking at Japan’s Heidi Montag, what with all the awkward dancing and synthy voice. But very quickly, I became mesmerized, first by her cuteness, then by the black body-suit puppetry a la Special People, and THEN…THEN! This video was literally catapulted into the awesomesphere at the 2:30 mark. I am pretty sure that this will go down in history as the best cat group dance number in history.
And the song is cute, too.
