On the set of her new sitcom, Kath & Kim, Selma Blair looks totally jazzed! She’s having so MUCH FUN on the set of this new raucous comedy!
Kath & Kim is hoping to do what The Office did – take a hugely successful show from overseas and recreate it in the U.S. Jane Turner and Gina Riley, who play the title characters in the original Australian version, are co-executive producing the show. I’ve seen the previews, and I’d be lying if I didn’t say I’m a bit skeptical. Hopefully they can get into a groove the way The Office did and come up with something brilliant. Because I love Molly Shannon!
But also. I think I might get a little nose-turny-uppy about the series because I actually auditioned for a major role on the show – the part of Kim’s loser, cat-lady best friend, who is even more of a moron than Kim is. (Hello, that’s ME!)

At least in this picture, I’m trying to look awful. You should have seen the other two girls in the waiting room when I showed up. They were all model-pretty and took one look at me, and started frantically wiping their makeup off trying to make themselves look more ugly. I psyched those b*tches out! Aaaanyway. I can put on a good costume, but that doesn’t mean I’m a brilliant actress. Because I totally didn’t get the part. Last I heard, they still hadn’t chosen anyone. HELLO! I’M STILL AVAILABLE NBC!
