After witnessing Sir Ben Kingsley’s convincing portrayal of a lightly Jewish Manhattanite in The Wackness, I came out of the theater unable to shake from my head the following epiphanic question about one of my favorite actors — is Ben Kingsley determined to knock out every accent in the world on film before his career is over?
Rather than allow my speculative question to die where most people with actual jobs and not way too much time on their hands would have allowed it to die, I went ahead and did some research concerning Kingsley’s film history (imdb) and the accents contained therein (Wikipedia, maybe Amazon once or twice) and ultimately compiled the single most comprehensive diagram in Kingsley-onscreen-accent-research-history.
