Here is Tony-Award Winning Actress and former Dancing with the Stars contestant Marissa Jaret Winokur, at a photo shoot for, well, what appears to be some sort of fakey baby shower celebrating her… From the Getty Images caption:

That’s all well and good, but… where are her friends? And family? Oh wait! Here they are!:
They seem absolutely thrilled to be there! Now, I might not be wholly initiated into this whole baby shower thing, as my friends and I realize that we’d be the kind of mothers who let their kids sleep in a locked file cabinet drawer at the DMV. But have any of you guys ever had posed photo shoots with the paparazzi at your baby showers?? It just seems hyperactively tacky.

I was there—I DO mean to brag. Those women in the picture are actually mostly editors and writers from women’s and/or celebrity magazines. It was wasn’t her actual baby shower with her actual friends (among them: Ricki Lake, Marlee Matlin). It was actually a press conference to promote women over thirty getting tested so they don’t get cervical cancer like Marissa did, which forced her to have a hysterectomy, which is why she’s having a baby via a surrogate…She was
actually really sweet and they had a fine array of quiche and cookies on the scene. I was the only (lonely!) dude…More info here:
