I haven’t heard all of Scarlett Johansson’s new Tom Waits covers project yet, but I feel pretty confident in saying that Zooey Deschanel, along with the capable help of M. Ward, has put out the best album by an actor or actress maybe ever (sorry Swayze). The duo is called She & Him, and their appropriately-titled first album Volume One is an impressive collection vintage-sounding lounge-y, poppy, country crooners. Highly recommended.
