If only all of America’s young celebrities had their heads screwed on as tightly as young Rupert Grint, the British actor best known for playing Harry Potter’s main wizarding wingman, Ron Weasley. In his hilarious explanation for why he currently has no plans to move to Los Angeles, Grint gives very specific examples of what he’s trying to avoid. From Showbiz Spy (via Gawker):
Harry Potter star Rupert Grint has changed his mind about moving to Los Angeles — because he can’t face bumping into the likes of Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan.The 19-year-old actor, who plays Ron Weasley in the wizard movies, said: “I met Lindsay last summer and she talked about herself a lot.
“She said she was going to win an Oscar before she turns 25. I just kept thinking, ‘But you can’t act’.â€
I imagine Rupert must have caught LiLo on one of her cokier days, at some hipster DJ party, geeked to the gills and telling anyone who would listen about how I Know Who Killed Me was going to make her the next Meryl Streep. Poor Weasley must’ve been wishing his Hogwarts magic was real so he could grab his wand and shoot a “Silencio!” her way so she’d shut the hell up already.
