Yesterday, word broke out that 64-year-old Rolling Stones guitarist Keith “Keef” Richards will break away from his scotch bath just long enough to be the “new face” of the upcoming Louis Vuitton ad campaign.
Now may we be the first to publicly announce… We’re skeptical. Sure, the rock legend has a certain sex appeal only found on the creakiest bar stool in the lowliest shantytown known on Earth, and yes, him and LVMH Creative Director Marc Jacobs have probably had their fair share of late nights just gossiping and baking meth rock and cocaine flour cookies, but we never really thought Keith had what it took to model. Especially for a high end brand like Louis Vuitton! If you had told us Gypsy N’ Tramps R’ Us maybe we could understand.
Here’s the good news: We’ve gotten an exclusive scan of the upcoming ad with Keith. And let us be the first to say Keith: We are sorry. Not only do you look fantastic, but you are also the epitome of fashion-forward. Marc, you were right! Keith was definitely the man for the job.
