How I have gone my entire life without ever seeing the following Queen video for their 1991 song “I’m Going Slightly Mad” is beyond me. It is… AMAZING. It’s like the 4 minute version of Ed Wood. And while the song itself certainly has more depressing undertones (this was the last video lead singer Freddie Mercury created before passing away from the AIDS virus at 45), it also featured Elton John in a Gorilla Suit and Mercury in a banana wig. So apologies if this video is old news to some of you, but as I had never seen it, and as my mind was officially blown, I just had to delivery it to those of you who had never witnessed its brilliance. Couldn’t we all use a little more Freddie Mercury in our lives?
