ICYMI: Tay Zonday soaks Jimmy Kimmel Audience in Fudgy Downpour

Our boy Tay Zonday hit Jimmy Kimmel Live last night and rocked the studio audience. And understand, by “rocked,” I mean “left in a state of mild befuddlement.” Check out the blank, confused stares on their faces as Tay lays down some serious “Chocolate Rain.” It’s hysterical. I’d like to think the audience is dazed by the song’s lyrical complexity. They’re sitting there thinking, “These lyrics seem to hint at something really profound, and yet… yet… I have absolutely no idea what the hell he’s singing about. I feel like I’m trying to unravel the Da Vinci Code.”

But more likely they’re just thinking, “Why is Barry White’s voice coming out of Webster’s body?”

Regardless, it only gets better as Tay takes the interview couch, opens his mouth and reveals… his speaking voice is just like his singing voice! Holy crap! It must be seen/heard to be believed. You’ll think the show’s producers are screwing with you and dubbing in someone else’s voice. It’s amazing. This kid must have gonads the size of Epcot Center.

Then, to top it all off, Kimmel mentions the “Chocolate Rain” cover that John Mayer did for Best Week Ever. Of course, he neglects to mention it was on Best Week Ever, but that’s what we’re here for. Click here to check out the John Mayer “Chocolate Rain” cover. Everyone else, hit play below.
