Movie “Lust, Caution” Has Something To Do With Lust, Also Caution

Lust CautionI believe I’ve made it clear on this website in the past that I love terrible pun headlines, whether it’s the most wonderful NY Post Headline or the most horrendously wonderful NY Post Headline. For the same reason, any time a movie comes out that’s just begging to have its title manipulated into a stupid pun for a review (see “Superbad“) I get really excited. The latest such gift is an NC-17 rated film from Ang Lee called “Lust, Caution” that has already prompted this review from Variety:

Too much caution and too little lust squeeze much of the dramatic juice out of Ang Lee’s “Lust, Caution,” a 2½–hour period drama that’s a long haul for relatively few returns.

Without seeing this film or having heard of it before this morning, here are some of the other potential reviews I predict we’ll see in the coming weeks:

Looking For Lust? Audiences Take Caution!

Lustful Director, Cautious Cast Cost ‘Lust, Caution’

‘Lust’ a Bust; ‘Caution’ a Cushion

Caution – Rusty Lusty; Dim Luster Isn’t Lustier

Lust for Caution? More Like Lust for Yield Sign

Remember the “Lust” character on the FOX show “Herman’s Head?” If you said yes, I am taking Caution.

If ‘Lust’ was ‘Lost’ and the word ‘Caution’ was deleted, and the film were just some episodes of ‘Lost’, it would have been better

‘Lust, Caution’ Full of People Who Fu*k, Hesitate
