Avid TV watchers by now know what makes for great television, and nothing beats the ol’ “Having a Person Face Their Fears on National Television.” Keeping that in mind, please look at the following clip from a National Geographic Channel special about Phobias, which takes a deeper look at coulrophobia, or the fear of clowns. Now, in all seriousness, clowns rank somewhere after lightning and roaches on my fear level, all stemming from a backward $2 redneck circus I was subjected to as a child, along with a healthy dose of the classic cult film Killer Klowns from Outer Space, which is only slightly less terrifying than a clown snuff film. So one can understand why the following woman nearly sh*ts her pants out of fear when confronted with Mr. Giggles, who likely divides his days between making balloon animals and then using them to smother infants in their sleep. (Wiping blood of that plastic apron is a cinch!) One can also understand why the folks sitting directly around this poor woman are doing their darndest not to bust out laughing.
