While the world is under the assumption that being a tall woman is a gift, let me personally assure you — it isn’t. Sure, while technically we can eat whatever we want and still look great (MYTHMYTHMYTH), and while we have the unique ability to ruin movies for all of those we sit in front of, it comes with it’s disadvantages as well. For example, we have an extremely high center of gravity, making it extremely difficult to walk, run, or cross-country ski. A few years back, I scored a pair of Puma rollerskates at the outlet. I proudly laced them up at home and got to skating outside, and let’s just say the additional 5 inches of height made me look like a fastest tranny Shaq-impersonator on the Upper West Side. Not to mention that when I fell, a woman in China was knocked off her feet by the sheer impact of my body against the gravel. There’s still a crater in Riverside Park to this day.
Where was I? Ah yes, the plight of the tall. Please keep that in mind while watching this tragi-larious video of models slipping and falling on the runway. I have a feeling the 8-inch orthopedic heels they’ve got strapped to their feet, and the runway made courtesy of Slip-N-Slide, isn’t helping their cause much. Still… they’re rich pretty models experiencing humility for the first time! Enjoy.
