Well, The Simpsons Movie is finally going to hit theaters this weekend, giving us all a chance to watch what we’ve been watching every week for the last 18 years on a larger screen, in a darkened room, among total strangers. I’m definitely not going to miss it, and whether or not its hilarious enough for me to have a cow, I’ll just be glad that’s finally here already after what seems like months of hype, marketing stunts and a seemingly endless lists of retrospective lists on the Internet. As you can imagine, I read a lot of websites during the course of my day, and for the past couple of weeks it has started to feel like I can’t click my mouse without finding another “10 Greatest Simpsons Episodes In Which Principal Skinner In Infantalized By His Mother” or whatever. Though I would immodestly like to point out that we WERE one of the first (and let’s face it – best) ones. But anyway, for the sake of posterity, to encourage all of you Homer archivists to cool it, and to provide a comprehensive Simpsons-reminiscing service to everyone, I have aggregated as many of the recent Simpsons-related lists as I could find, though I suspect these but a few of the sprinkles on the donut.
