A few months ago when we were confronted with the bizarre home movie footage of Pete Doherty and Kate Moss doing a decidedly not sober self-made music video (mostly just him strumming a guitar and mumbling while she curses between puffs of her cigarette), we never expected that it could be part of a greater series of video Smackcasts. But the drug-addled duo is back, I think playing the same song (if it can be called that), but with the added production value of cheeky red uniform costumes. If they could have just stayed sober enough to get the whole lighting thing figured out, this ALMOST could have resembled a coherent idea. But alas, we’re left with this – if you turn the volume down and squint your eyes, it sort of feels like you could be watching The Beatles record Sgt. Pepper, except without talent or originality.
