Seriously, he’s the only guy that can pull off outfits like this one. Anyone else would look like a goofy gimmicky punkass. Not Depp. He doesn’t give one. He’s got his own thing going on and if you don’t like it, you can stick to your “21 Jump St.” DVD’s, bitch! Here’s Johnny Depp at the “Sweeney Todd” premiere looking intense and slick as always. “Sweeney Todd” is a musical about a vengeance-minded killer barber in 19th century London. Depp compares his singing voice to “the mating call of a rutting stag.” Not exactly a sparkling endorsement of the movie, but hey, it’s Tim Burton and it’s about a serial killing barber and cannibalism. I’m down for it. Depp refers to his performance in the film as “a punk rock Sweeney”. Which is weird, cause Sweeney’s pretty punk rock already what with the human meat pies and throat slashing. Ok, not necessarily punk rock as much as Dahmer-esque. But you get what I mean.
