LISTEN UP: Optical Illusions + Indie Band = Homerun

Say you’re some European indie band with a catchy song, looking for some sort of viral video that’s just visually exciting enough to get people watching, and more importantly, listening. Well, that’s exact what Berlin band The Whitest Boy Alive has done with the following music video for their catchy single “Golden Cage”. Let’s put it this way — if you don’t understand what “optical illusions” are… this is definitely the music video for you.

We’d also like to point out that this sentence from the band’s Wiki site proves that they might have four of the most hilarious names in the music biz… or, at the very least, the most punctuated: “The band comprises singer/guitarist Erlend Øye, bassist Marcin Öz, drummer Sebastian Maschat, and Daniel Nentwig on rhodes & crumar.” Any “rhodes & crumar” players reading right now? Quick question: What’s a rhodes and/or crumar?
