Now that his “machines turning into robots and blowing things up” masterpiece has transformed from a movie into a steady line of cash-filled trucks delivering their hefty payloads to the Dreamworks backlot, Michael Bay needs to start asking himself which 80′s cartoon property with nostalgic appeal and a built-in audience will ensure his greatest hot streak since the unprecedented Bad Boys/The Rock/Armageddon “movies for guys who like movies” triple crown of the late 1990′s. Obvious choices would include G.I. Joe, Thundercats and He-Man, but perhaps the Bayteur would be wiser to choose subject matter that’s a bit more gentle, thus maximizing the shock and appeal of the glorious symphony of violence only he is capable of composing. Something like…My Little Pony!
