Vintage Hugh Laurie Ups the Sexy Nerd Stakes

_1196221_laurie150.jpgYou might know Hugh Laurie from his hit show House, or perhaps you remember him as the (hotly debated) #15 on our list of the 15 Sexiest Nerd Boys. But chances are, if you live in America, you’ve never seen him quite. like. this. Last night, we became privy to one of Hugh’s old shows that never aired stateside, called A Bit of Fry and Laurie, and our hearts were warmed. The show features another Brit-Com staple, Stephen Fry, and the honorable Laurie singing, dancing, dorking it up and sketch-comedying with ease.

If you remember Hugh from his Blackadder days, seeing him as a fresh-faced guy in his 20′s might not be that shocking. If not, brace yourself — it’s not the scruffy, brow-beaten man you’re probably used to seeing. TV Links has four full episodes from Season 2 of the show, but if you don’t have time for four hours of hilarity, enjoy this 1 minute clip of Laurie’s ode to our very beautiful country, America:

And while we’re on the topic of British Comedies, please please please check out the HILARIOUS Garth Marenghi’s Darkplace, which is difficult to describe, so we’ll let IMDB do it: “This spoof TV series is an unearthed 80′s horror TV show, complete with poor production values, awful dialogue and hilarious violence. The series is set in a Hospital in Romford, which is situated over the gates of Hell.” PLEASE CHECK IT OUT.
