OK, it’s time to take a look at the shows CBS has scheduled for the fall. They’ve got five new shows on tap, but only three are worth paying any attention to. (For info on the other two, head over to the CBS website.) Here are the three to know about:
Moonlight: Hey look, a brooding drama about a vampire who’s also a private investigator! Some of his cases involve mortals, sometimes he fights the supernatural! I have never seen this before! Except on that show Angel! Which was exactly the same! When you steal a concept this unique, it’s pretty obvious! Watch the video here!
Viva Laughlin: Hugh Jackman will pop up from time to time in this drama about a guy trying to open a casino in lovely Laughlin, NV. What makes this show remarkable you ask? Oh, um, sometimes they break into song. Good idea. That’s worked really well for TV shows in the past. Just ask Cop Rock. For video of Hugh warbling through a Rolling Stones song, go here.
Kid Nation: Oh yeah, this is easily the most interesting looking show: 40 kids get dumped in an abandonned town and then have to form a government, divy up chores and generally take care of themselves. Check out the preview video below. Why has no one thought before of creating a reality show that pressures children until they cry? It’s genius. Every time a lip starts quivering, I start giggling.
