Tobey Maguire, the adorable star of the Spiderman franchise who we just can’t help but loving, finally dishes the dirt on his famous and much parodied makeout with his blonde, unwashed co-star Kirsten Dunst. And apparently, it was no walk down makeout alley. (Clearing throat) He says:
Probably the hardest thing I had to do as Spider-Man was kiss Kirsten Dunst. When we shot that scene where we kissed in the alleyway and I was hanging upside down…it was raining and the whole time I had rainwater running up my nose. Then, when Kirsten rolled back the wet mask, she cut off the air completely.â€
Now, we all remember that kiss. Because it was sexy as hell. (Those randier readers out there might want to relive it at your workplace by clicking here.) But the most diffiicult thing he had to do?! After rewatching a handful of times and timing it, the longest makeout take was about 10 seconds before he clearly breathes. And sure, when she rolls the mask down, his neck looks like it’s ready to splode… but we can’t imagine it’s as difficult as it seems. For f*ck’s sake, the guy spends half the movie climbing up the side of buildings!
Our advice to Kiki? Wash the rocker gunk out of your hair, run an Oral-B Brush Up cross your choppers, get the arrowheads jutting out of your mouth filed down, and for God’s sake, let the poor man breathe.
