By now, most of you are already familiar with the hilarious Ben Stiller/Tom Cruise Mission Impossible send-up from the MTV Movie Awards a few years ago (if not, the vid is after the jump.) Yes, the two do look a little similar, Stiller being the half-Jewish brother of course. But this morning, we realized another seriously strange connection: They have the same Mom! Check it out:
On the left, Tom Cruise’s mother Mary Lee Mapother, and on the right, Ben Stiller’s comedy mama Anne Meara. They look like identical sisters… or, perhaps, the very same woman.
Is it then any coincidence that Cruise and Stiller are starring in the upcoming movie The Hardy Brothers together? Ah-brothers? I’m not one to further any sort of conspiracy theories, but as Xenu is my witness, something fishy is going on here…
